Ok well I ended up doing a degree in Chemistry because I really liked biology and chemistry in school and I thought it would be a good job. Then while I was studying, I lost someone I was really close to to cancer, the chemo made her really weak and she couldn’t fight the cancer anymore. I felt really helpless and I decided that I would use my degree in chemistry to get into Cancer Research. I wanted to help people and do something good.

Hi – I was always really interested in the natural world, looking at animals and plants near my home and then realised that this kind of thing was what professional scientists did for their jobs all over the world. That made me think it would be a great line of work to be in 🙂
