• Question: What does antidisastablishmentarianism means ??

      Well it’s to do with the Church of England, which is the ‘established’, i.e. official religion in this country. If you believe in disestablishment – which I do – then you believe that the UK should not have a privileged religion (with, for instance, bishops in the House of Lords). If you are an antidisestablishmentarian then it means you don’t agree with people like me. And the ‘ism’ on the end refers to the practise of not agreeing with people who want to remove the special status of the CofE. I think it may be the longest word in the English language.

      I’m not sure, what disestablishment were they anti??
