• Question: If it is true that because the universe is still exploding after the big bang that it will one day stop expanding and start to shrink?

      This depends on whether the expansion-contraction model of the universe is true. The objects at the edge of the universe certainly seem to be moving away from us (we can tell this because of the Doppler effect, which explains red and blue shifts).

      Honestly, I can’t answer your question. I really don’t know the physics and maths that support an expansion-contraction model, and don’t want to make up an answer!
