Yes science was my favourite subject! I didn’t like the ones where you have to sit behind a desk all the time like English and Maths, but I liked the ones where you got to do things like Art, Music and Science. When I was young, you didn’t learn anything at all about science until you went to high school (and I know thats different now you you learn a little bit in primary school). So I got a big shock when I first walked into my science classroom: beakers, bunsen burners, plants, posters on the walls, the periodic table! I really liked doing experiments and I found my science classes more chilled out than the other subjects, you could move around and discuss things with your friends, but in the other classes you had to be quiet all the time! And I am very chatty so that was a problem for me! Also my science teachers were really enthusiastic and energetic and I responded to that.
Yes I did, but I got (and still get) distracted a lot. I ended up reading about things that interested me, but that weren’t directly relevant to what I was supposed to be doing! I did that at undergraduate too and am still doing that now. But I think it’s important to let your mind wander occasionally and find out what you’re really interested in. But that said, you have got to get the basics covered before you can move on to research what you want to, and that means getting through your exams first! Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
